POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Bodyshop Service Advisor is the primary customer-facing representative and Single Point of Contact (SPOC) throughout the accident repair process. The role manages damage assessment, repair estimation, insurance coordination, and regular communication with customers and surveyors on repair progress, costs, approvals, and delivery timelines, coordinating closely with the Bodyshop Controller to ensure timely, quality repair execution.

1. EDUCATION:

Graduate or Diploma in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.

Automotive qualification/certification is preferred; certification from another OEM is an added advantage.

2. EXPERIENCE:

3+ years of experience in automotive Bodyshop operations, accident repair, and insurance claim handling.

Good understanding of accident repair processes, insurance coordination, workshop operations, warranty, and parts coordination.

Working knowledge of DMS/Dealer Management Systems and basic Bodyshop KPI tracking is preferred.

3. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

1 Customer Reception, Inspection & Estimation:

Handle customer reception, vehicle inspection, damage assessment, job card creation, and accurate DMS documentation. Prepare estimates, explain repair scope, and obtain customer approvals for additional repairs.





2 Insurance & Surveyor Coordination:

Coordinate insurance claims, surveyor inspections, repair approvals, supplementary approvals, and final documentation. Follow up with insurers and surveyors to avoid repair and delivery delays.

3 Repair Progress & Customer Communication:

Coordinate with Bodyshop, Parts, and workshop teams to monitor repair progress, parts availability, and delivery timelines. Keep customers proactively informed of repair status and delivery commitments.

4 Delivery, Quality & Customer Satisfaction:

Ensure repair, billing, insurance documentation, vehicle readiness, and handover requirements are completed before delivery. Explain completed repairs and billing, address concerns, and ensure DMS closure.

5 Process Compliance & EV/PHEV Safety:

Follow Brand/dealership processes for repair, insurance, documentation, customer communication, and data privacy. Maintain basic EV/PHEV accident-safety awareness and escalate HV concerns to authorised personnel.
