Platform Engineer – Central AWS Core Service

Responsibilities

- 10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure deployment, and automation.

Strong understanding of cloud concepts and hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Solid knowledge of cloud infrastructure domains: compute, storage, networking, service delivery, security, and cost management.

Proficiency with source control tools such as Git, GitHub, and Bitbucket.

Strong scripting experience (Python, Java) and working knowledge of RDBMS (Oracle/MySQL), messaging queues, and CI/CD pipelines.

Familiarity with enterprise compliance, cloud security standards, and large-scale infrastructure environments.

Hands-on experience with DevOps tools: Ansible, Docker, GitHub, Jenkins, Kubernetes, Maven, SonarQube.

- Design, build, and maintain core AWS cloud services used across the organization.
- Develop scalable, secure, and automated cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

- Manage and optimize AWS foundational services including IAM, VPC, EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch,



and networking components.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting frameworks to ensure high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to enable cloud adoption, platform reliability, and operational efficiency.

- Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues and provide root‑cause analysis.

- Contribute to internal platform tools, automation pipelines, and reusable service templates.

- Support migration of applications to AWS while ensuring compliance with central platform standards.

Requirements

- Proven experience as a Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or DevOps Engineer with strong AWS expertise.
- Deep understanding of AWS core services, networking, identity management, and cloud security.
- Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS).
- Knowledge of observability tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
- Familiarity with cost management, tagging frameworks, and operational governance in AWS.
