Bharat offers education professionals the opportunity to be part of shaping future space pioneers in India’s growing aerospace e cosystem.Role Description The Astronomy Tutor at Aerione Bharat will deliver engaging, concept-driven astronomy lessons to school and college-level learners in an on-site, full time capacity based in Bengaluru. The role involves planning and conducting interactive classes, demonstrations, and lab-based sessions that connect celestial mechanics, cosmology, and observational astronomy with real-world space science. The tutor will design and update lesson plans, worksheets, and multimedia content aligned with program objectives,



and may support sessions at facilities such as astronomy expos and rocketry or STEM labs.

Responsibilities include assessing learner progress, providing constructive feedback, and offering academic guidance to help learners build strong scientific thinking and curiosity. The tutor will collaborate with other educators and program coordinators to refine curriculum, support events and workshops, and uphold a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in astronomy, astrophysics, or space science, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for diverse age groups.
- candidate should be ready to travel
- Experience in classroom teaching, tutoring, or STEM outreach, including lesson planning and learner assessment.
- Comfort with using educational technology, simulations, and multimedia tools to support interactive learning.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with an ability to engage curious and varying learner profiles.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Physics, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Space Science, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with educators, program managers, and academic partners.
- Interest in experiential learning, hands-on experiments, and project-based education related to space and STEM.
- Prior experience with outreach programs, science clubs, or educational events in astronomy or space science is an advantage.
