Assistant Manager - Civil (PSS)

Position Summary

The role requires strong site leadership across foundation works, structural erection, yard development, control room buildings, cable trenches, roads, and drainage systems, ensuring all civil works are executed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with design, quality, and statutory requirements

Position Demands

Frequent field travel, stakeholder interactions and handling of critical security situations in challenging project environments.

Critical Success Factors - Essential

- 5-7 years of experience in civil execution for substations, power evacuation, or large infrastructure / renewable energy projects
- Proven experience in substation civil works, yard development, and interface coordination with electrical teams.
- Strong ownership mindset for end-to-end civil scope of power evacuation infrastructure
- Leads by example on safety, quality, and compliance.
- Builds trust and credibility through consistent decision-making and site leadership
- Effective coordination with cross-functional teams and contractors.

Critical Success Factors - Desirable

Renewable energy, transmission, infrastructure or large project security experience; vendor management.





Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Project Execution & Coordination

- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, OEMs, and vendors for timely execution of civil works.
- Monitor construction progress, resolve site issues, and ensure adherence to project schedules.
- Manage BOQ quantities, measurements, and cost optimization initiatives.

Civil Engineering & Site Supervision

- Supervise construction of substation foundations, control buildings, cable trenches, roads, drainage systems, and boundary infrastructure.
- Ensure proper execution of excavation, concreting, structural works, and finishing activities.
- Verify layouts, levels, alignment, and material quality as per approved drawings and specifications.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, statutory requirements, and environmental norms.
- Review and implement method statements, inspection plans, and quality documentation.

Schedule & Interface Management

- Support timely completion of civil works to meet erection, commissioning, and energization milestones.
- Prioritize critical activities, mitigate project risks, and coordinate closely with electrical and commissioning teams to avoid delays and rework.

Serentica Renewables is a renewable energy generation company that enables energy-intensive industries transition to a clean energy future. We provide assured, firm renewable energy (RE) by developing, operating, and dispatching greenfield solar, wind, energy storage with balancing solutions.
