AGM 1. JOB PURPOSE:

Formulate and implement plan for maintenance/operations of Utilities, Production Machinery, Building Management systems & EHS, liaison with statutory authorities, develop vendors, train & develop repartees, develop/review SOPs, and provide Engineering support to meet Company ‘requirements.

1. KEY RESULT AREA:

- Prepare and implement Engineering plan for maintenance & operation of all Utility ETP, Building management system & maintenance plan for production/process equipment’s.
- Ensure Compliance with all regulatory norms & liaison with various statutory authorities.
- Ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety policy.
- Identify, develop vendors for supply of equipment’s, spares etc., Negotiate & implement A M C’S for various equipment’s, machines instruments etc., Develop contractors for plant maintenance & projects.
- Developing repartees by identifying training needs & implementing the same. Motivate repartees by evaluating performance, allocating responsibilities, developing skills etc.,
- Monitor implementation of GMP & PPE norms in department & ensure compliance.

1. KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS REQUIRED:

Knowledge: BE /BTech Electrical Experience: 15-18 years of experience in Pharmaceutical Industry preferably in manufacturing plant.

Audit Exposure : USFDA ,MHRA ,EU

Skills: Must possess good knowledge of Pharma business, services and maintenance requirements, handling equipment and machineries and should have good Interpersonal skills, man management skills, communication skills, negotiation skills & leadership qualities. Having Exposure of Softgel ,OSD and HVAC

1. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- To understand company’s business and have knowledge of engineering equipment services and maintenance requirements of the plant.
- To guide the team to implement the engineering plan for maintenance of Utilities, machines and equipment,



prioritize work and managing engineering team at site.
- Plan and execute engineering projects / new equipment installation.
- Monitor allocation of Man Power and availability of inputs and ensure. Completion of work on time.
- Identify and select vendors for supply of equipment, spares and contractual work, negotiate prices, AMCs and project costing.
- Prepare engineering budget and seek approval and monitor expenses.
- Ensure preventive maintenance and attend breakdowns of Utilities / Maintenance Services.
- Ensure timely availability of spares and equipment’s to prevent loss of production.
- Liaise with other departments to solve bottle necks and other problems.
- Ensure maintenance of records with respect to expenses, plans, bills, sanctions and other Govt. Compliances.
- Ensure maintenance of other records in the department.
- Investigate and monitor preparation of Accident / Incident Reports and take necessary action and provide training to prevent repetition of such accidents / incidents and damage to equipment and property of the company.
- Know your Staff and their capabilities and ensure on job training of Supervisors / Operators / Casuals and act as mentor.
- Maintain Valuable Interpersonal Relationship & networking with superiors, peers & Subordinates.
- Maintain Shop Floor Discipline, Solve Routine Problems and handle Grievances proactively through counseling.
- Provision safety / pollution control measures to ensure safety & compliances.
- Lead, guide & motivate department teams for higher efficiency, innovation and team work.
- Carry out performance evaluation, counseling & recommend recognition / reward / reprimand
- Liaison with other department to gain information, resources & take help for day to day activities.
- Ensure requisition of consumables and follow up for timely delivery and exercise control on consumption.
- Handle routine matters at shop floor such as Leave Planning, Absenteeism and misconducts.
