Roles & Responsibilities: Assembly Fitter/ Technician

Education : ITI Fitter / Electrician

Experience : 1 to 6 years of Experience in Machine manufacturing company or Engineering Manufacturing company as a assembly Fitter / Technician . Preferred for experience in Manufacturer of Plastic Pouch Cutting & Packaging Machines .

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Material Receiving & Verification

- Receive machine spares, mechanical parts, and assemblies as per approved engineering drawings and BOM.
- Verify quantity, quality, and specifications of received materials.
- Ensure materials are free from damage and suitable for assembly of plastic pouch cutting machines.
- Report any discrepancy or damage to the concerned authority immediately.

2. Machine Assembly & Fitting

- Perform assembly and fitting of plastic pouch cutting machine components strictly as per drawings.
- Ensure proper installation of panels, shafts, holders, bearings, bolts, fasteners, and mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Apply correct tightening methods, torque values, and fitting techniques.
- Follow correct assembly sequence, alignment, and tolerances as specified in drawings.

3. Workshop & Maintenance Activities

- Obtain prior approval from the Head of Department (HOD) before undertaking any additional workshop work.
- Carry out assigned fabrication, modification, or fitting tasks responsibly and as instructed.

4. Trial & Testing

- After completion of mechanical assembly,



coordinate with the electrical team for wiring and panel connections.
- Set the machine for trial run after electrical work completion.
- Perform pouch cutting trials and adjust machine settings to achieve proper cutting accuracy, speed, and performance.

5. Quality Clearance & Machine Shifting

- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) department for inspection and final approval.
- Rectify any issues identified during QC inspection.
- After QC clearance, shift the machine safely to the designated area or dispatch zone.

6. Documentation & ISO 9001 Compliance

- Maintain assembly and store-related records as per ISO 9001 requirements.
- Ensure all incoming materials have proper identification tags.
- Maintain and update KANBAN cards for effective material control.

7. Reporting

- Prepare and submit daily or job-related reports to the concerned authority as required.
- Provide feedback on assembly issues, improvements, or corrective actions.

8. Material Handling & Scrap Disposal

- Ensure proper accounting of materials received, used, and returned.
- Segregate scrap material and ensure disposal as per company procedures.

9. Safety & Housekeeping

- Follow all safety rules and standard operating procedures.
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during work.
- Maintain cleanliness, neatness, and organized conditions in the assembly and workshop areas.

10. Audit Support

- Assist during internal and external audits.
- Ensure availability of records and compliance with audit requirements.
