- 3+ years AR associate with payer-side appeal documentation review experience and strong knowledge of appeal rules and denial reasons
- Generate well-documented appeals tailored to payers, review clinical/claim documentation, track appeal outcomes, and identify root causes of denials

we are looking for someone who has previously working in Appeals and now working in AR Follow UP for at least a year.

Key Responsibilities

Generate solid, well-documented appeals across a range of payers, tailored to each payer's specific appeal requirements, formats, and documentation standards.

Apply deep understanding of what payers look for when reviewing appeal documentation, to maximize overturn rates.

Build and maintain payer-specific appeal templates, checklists, and documentation requirements.

Review clinical/claim documentation for completeness and sufficiency before appeal submission.

Identify documentation gaps and root causes driving denials, and feed insights back to AR/coding/quality teams.





Track appeal outcomes and refine approach by payer and denial category.

Required Experience & Qualifications

3+ years as an AR associate with hands-on experience generating appeals across various payers.

Payer-side appeal experience is mandatory specifically payer-side documentation review, not claim adjudication.

Strong grasp of payer appeal rules, timely-filing/appeal windows, and documentation specificity requirements.

Excellent documentation and written-communication skills; strong attention to detail.

Solid understanding of denial reasons (CARC/RARC) and how documentation supports overturns.

Preferred

Exposure across multiple specialties and payer types (commercial, Medicare, Medicaid, MA plans).

Experience translating payer-review perspective into provider-side appeal strategy.
