AI Engineer iRONic Ventures | Kochi Office (No Remote/Hybrid) | Full-Time | 2 Openings The Role

We're looking for two AI Engineers to build AI features into a production SaaS product used by customers and businesses in Europe. You'll work in TypeScript across the stack, connecting LLMs and generative models to a real application: designing prompts and structured outputs, building evaluations and tests around them, and keeping AI suggestions inside the guard rails of validated business logic. This is a product engineering role, not a research or model-training role.

We build with AI coding agents every day and expect you to do the same. The role suits engineers with 2-5 years of experience.

What You'll Do

- AI Features: Design and build LLM-powered features end to end, from prompt and structured output to API, UI, and tests
- Generative Media: Integrate image-generation and image-editing models, and measure output quality, latency, and cost per result
- Guard Rails: Treat AI output as a proposal that deterministic, validated code checks before anything reaches the user
- Evaluation: Build evaluation sets and automated checks so prompt and model changes are compared on evidence, not guessed
- Data Integration: Import, map, and validate structured data from external partners, using AI where it saves manual work
- Configuration Tooling: Build tools that let non-technical admins configure business rules safely
- Production: Add logging and monitoring around expensive AI calls, and troubleshoot and fix production issues
- AI-Assisted Development: Use coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) daily, with the test discipline that keeps their output trustworthy

What We're Looking For

- Experience: 2-5 years of professional software engineering, including at least one LLM-based feature shipped to production
- Programming: Strong TypeScript and Node.js; comfortable writing SQL
- LLM Engineering: OpenAI or Anthropic APIs, prompt engineering, structured outputs, schema validation (e.g. Zod), tool calling




- Evaluation & Testing: Automated tests and evals for code that depends on non-deterministic model output
- Data: PostgreSQL, data modelling, and working with messy external data
- AI-Assisted Development: Daily, hands-on use of coding agents and the judgement to review what they produce
- Bonus: Image-generation APIs, vector search (pgvector), job queues (Redis, BullMQ), Next.js and React, three.js, Python for evaluation scripts, German language
