Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Accountant to manage daily accounting activities at our Vallakkadavu, Thiruvananthapuram location. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, financial transactions, COD reconciliation, and branch-level accounting operations. Experience in the courier, logistics, transport, or distribution industry will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle daily accounting activities related to courier and logistics operations.
- Maintain sales, purchase, receipt, payment, and journal entries.
- Manage Cash on Delivery (COD) collections, settlements, and reconciliations.
- Reconcile hub-wise cash collections and bank transactions.
- Verify invoices, courier bills, expenses, and supporting documents.
- Maintain customer and vendor accounts.
- Follow up on outstanding payments and receivables.
- Coordinate with hubs to resolve COD, cash, billing, and accounting discrepancies.
- Prepare daily, weekly,



and monthly financial reports.
- Assist with GST, TDS, and other applicable statutory accounting requirements.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audits.
- Identify accounting discrepancies and coordinate timely corrections.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
- Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by management.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or relevant qualification in Commerce or Accounting preferred.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience.
- Good knowledge of Tally or other accounting software.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and basic computer applications.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles.
- Knowledge of COD reconciliation and hub/branch accounting preferred.
- Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions and meet deadlines.

Preferred Candidate Profile Candidates with experience in courier services, logistics, transportation, or distribution companies will be given preference. The ideal candidate should be organized, responsible, accurate in financial dealings, and capable of working independently.
