Role overview

Savitri Automobiles is looking for a detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, maintain accurate financial records, and support timely financial reporting. Strong working knowledge of Tally is essential. Experience in the tractor or automobile industry is an advantage.

Key responsibilities

- Record daily sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries in Tally.
- Prepare and maintain invoices, vouchers, ledgers, and other accounting records.
- Track accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Reconcile bank statements, cash balances, and ledger accounts.
- Support GST and TDS documentation, returns, and related compliance.
- Maintain records for vehicle, tractor, spare-parts, and inventory transactions.




- Prepare periodic reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
- Organize financial documents and support audits when required.

Requirements

- Solid practical knowledge of Tally and accounting fundamentals.
- Relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Familiarity with GST, TDS, invoicing, and bank reconciliation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
- Commerce qualification, such as B.Com, preferred.
- Good attention to detail, integrity, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Experience in a tractor dealership or automobile business is a plus.
