The Architectural Drafter will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings and documentation for domestic residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects. You will work closely with the design team to ensure all drawings are accurate, clear, and ready for site execution or municipal submission.
Key Responsibilities
- Working Drawings : Prepare comprehensive GFC (Good For Construction) sets, including detailed masonry layouts, electrical/plumbing points, and finishing schedules.
- Submission Drawings : Draft plans for local authorities (AMC/AUDA) ensuring strict adherence to current GDCR (General Development Control Regulations) and FSI norms.
- Detailing : Develop precise large-scale details for toilets, kitchens, staircases, and specialized architectural elements.
- Coordination : Sync architectural drawings with structural and MEP inputs to identify and resolve on-site clashes before construction begins.
- Site Documentation : Visit sites occasionally to take measurements for "As-Built" drawings or to ensure construction aligns with the drafted plans.
Technical Skills & Qualifications
- Software Mastery :
- AutoCAD (2D) : Expert level (Speed and accuracy in layering/dimensioning are critical).
- Revit (BIM) :
Solid working knowledge for developing 3D models and extracting 2D sheets.
- Local Knowledge : Solid understanding of Indian building standards, material sizes available in the local market, and Ahmedabad municipal bylaws.
- Experience : 1-3 years in a similar role within an Indian architectural or engineering consultancy.
- Education : ITI / Diploma in Civil Drafting or Architectural Assistantship.

- Visual Clarity : Understanding of line weights and hatching to create drawings that are easily readable by site supervisors and contractors.
