Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Business Analyst for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. Our client is a consulting and custom software development firm focused on regulated sectors. Typically, their clients seek high-end software development services, with the firm providing top-tier warranties. Consequently, the client has established a solid reputation in the industry for creating solutions that meet specifications with very few software defects. They are recognized as the leading software developer in Australia.

You'll support the delivery of the LTA roadmap — a complex digital modernization program that moves highly manual processes into streamlined, system-centered workflows. Delivery success depends entirely on the quality of inputs. Utilizing the provided documentation and SOPs, and combining them with a strong system and gap analysis. Stories must be ready before development begins, business rules must be defined (not assumed), and gaps must be surfaced early. A Business Analyst in this role is the critical link between business intent and development execution.

- REQUIREMENTS

Strong experience in story writing & acceptance criteria:

- Write clear, structured user stories;
- Define detailed acceptance criteria;
- Capture edge cases and exceptions;
- Ensure stories meet "ready for dev" standard;
- Review existing features vs new requirements.

In-depth understanding of business rules & financial logic:

- Document clear business rules;
- Understand and question workflow processes;
- Identify gaps and inconsistencies;
- Capture edge cases and scenarios.

Understanding of Jira & Delivery Workflow:

- Solid Jira experience (backlog, workflows, transitions);
- Maintain hygiene: ACs, updates, traceability;




- Track actions through to completion.

Solid experience in software delivery:

- Agile delivery teams;
- Sprint cycles, refinement, QA, release flow;
- Prepare work ahead of development;
- Digital modernization projects.

Understanding of UX/UI thinking:

- Shape flows, interactions, user journeys;
- Define behavior clearly for developers;
- Think through usability and clarity.

Have an integration awareness:

- Document integration behavior;
- Consider data flows and edge cases;
- Experience managing parallel legacy/new systems.

AI product awareness:

- Define and test expected AI behaviors;
- Think through edge cases, reliability, and outputs.

Expertise in Testing Support:

- Support QA with clear requirements;
- Think through real-world usage cases.

Strong communication & ownership skills:

- Clear, structured communication;
- Drive actions to completion;
- Comfortable with ambiguity; resolves gaps;
- Manage scope and define MVP with stakeholders;
- Manage multiple conflicting stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Experience with Jira and the software delivery team.

NICE TO HAVE

- Experience with offshore dev teams.
- Familiarity with INVEST principles.
- Experience with vehicle licensing & registration systems.
- Knowledge of the offshore delivery model.
- DevOps / CI-CD awareness.
- Exposure to low-code development.
- Experience in creating simple wireframes or mockups.




- Knowledge of AI tools or prompt-driven systems.
- Experience with less mature product teams.
- Understanding of setting up Jira workflows.
- Experience with scaled or multi-team environments.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Own the quality of inputs into development and alignment of scope management to delivery.
- Minimize scope creep and system divergence.
- Ensure stories are truly ready before dev picks them up, that business rules are never left to developer interpretation, and that missing information or additional requirements are surfaced and resolved early — not discovered mid-sprint.
- Play a key role in maintaining delivery flow and quality across the program.
- Write structured stories and acceptance criteria independently.
- Release planning and management for continuous delivery to production.
- Identify missing information and challenge gaps.
- Work autonomously without heavy hand-holding.
- Identify scope and process risks early.
