Advisor, Systems Security Analysis (IBM DataPower)

What does a successful Senior API Management Architect/Engineer do at Fiserv?

What will you do :

- Plan and deliver API management solutions using platforms like IBM Datapower, Apigee Edge, Apigee X, and Hybrid.
- Design, develop, and manage IBM DataPower services (multi-protocol gateways, web service proxies, XML firewalls).
- Implement API layer requirements like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, and request/response modifications.
- Build microservices systems using Java, Spring, or Node.js to support API management solutions.
- Design API specifications and develop proxies, implementing custom policies using Java, JavaScript, Node.js, Python, and other languages.
- Configure the Apigee platform, including keystores, trust stores, and KVMs.
- Ensure platform health, manage SLAs, and work with QA teams to implement API testing automation.
- Lead day-to-day operational activities including Certificate management, Key rotation, environment maintenance & automating regular Operational tasks using Scripts (Python, shell, etc.).
- Provide L2/3 production support for API platforms and associated components - Manage & resolve incidents,



outages & performance issues in a timely and structured manner.
- Participate in the weekly 12*7 on-call rotation (as applicable within the team) ensuring SLAs and availability targets are met.

What you will need to have :

- 6+ years of firsthand development experience with IBM DataPower, Google Apigee platforms like Apigee X, Hybrid, or Edge & including proxy/service development, deployments, and configuration.
- 4+ years of direct experience with major programming and scripting languages like Python/ JavaScript.
- 2+ years of experience in developing microservices.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science) or equivalent military experience.

What would be excellent to have :

- Cloud developer or cloud architect certification in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with API testing and automation test frameworks.
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform, or experience with cloud environments like Azure or AWS.
