IT & GST Assistant

Job Location : Rajkot, Gujarat, India

Experience : 0-5 years (Fresher with relevant knowledge can apply)

Qualification : B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / Graduate with GST & IT knowledge

Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

Income Tax (IT) Work

- Preparation and filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR - Individuals, Firms, Companies)
- TDS/TCS return preparation and filing
- Handling Form 26Q, 24Q, 16, 16A, 15CA/15CB
- Responding to Income Tax notices and compliance requirements
- Assistance in tax audits and assessments
- Coordinate with the firm's administrative staff for the timely filing and submission of documents.

GST Work

- Preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-2B reconciliation, GSTR-9/9C)
- GST registration, amendment, cancellation, and LUT filings
- Reconciliation of purchase data with GSTR-2B
- Handling GST notices, replies, and departmental follow-ups
- Maintaining GST records and client documentation

Accounting & Other Compliance

- Basic accounting entries and finalization support
- Assistance in audit work (statutory, tax, internal)
- Client coordination for data collection and clarification
- Maintaining proper records, files,



and working papers

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Practical knowledge of GST and Income Tax laws
- Familiarity with GST portal and Income Tax portal
- Working knowledge of Tally / accounting software
- MS Excel, Word proficiency
- Positive communication and coordination skills
- Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Skills

- Basic understanding of Indian tax laws, including Income Tax and GST, is desirable.
- Experience in CA firm environment
- Knowledge of ROC compliance (basic)
- Basic knowledge of accounting software and tax e-filing portals is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
