An Early Years Facilitator delivers engaging, developmentally appropriate learning sessions for children (usually aged 2-6), focusing on holistic growth—cognitive, social, emotional, and physical. They create safe, nurturing environments, manage classroom routines, implement lesson plans, and maintain regular communication with parents regarding child progress.

Key Responsibilities

- Curriculum & Learning : Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, ensuring play-based learning and that the class is fun, creative, and engaging.
- Child Development & Care : Monitor developmental milestones, supervise nap/meal times, and foster a nurturing, inclusive atmosphere.
- Parent Communication : Discuss child progress through regular check-ins, PTCS, and progress reports.
- Classroom Management : Maintain a safe, clean, and organized learning workplace, adhering to health and safety policies.
- Collaboration : Work with assistant teachers, staff,



and management to achieve center goals and support curriculum initiatives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

- Education : Typically a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Montessori training, or a graduate degree.
- Experience : Previous experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting.
- Communication : Excellent verbal and written skills for interacting with children and parents.
- Creativity : Strong storytelling, artistic, and play-based teaching skills.
- Traits : Energetic, patient, creative, and capable of taking initiative.
