The OT Technician is responsible for assisting ophthalmic surgeons during eye surgeries, maintaining OT sterility, handling surgical instruments, and ensuring smooth functioning of the operation theatre.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during eye surgeries such as cataract, glaucoma, retina, and other procedures :
- Maintain proper OT protocols, aseptic techniques, and infection control standards :
- Operate and assist with ophthalmic equipment (microscope, phaco machine, vitrectomy unit, etc.) :
- Monitor OT supplies, medicines, and consumables; report shortages in advance :
- Coordinate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia team for smooth OT workflow
Qualification
- Diploma / Certificate in Operation Theatre Technology : Experience
- 1-8 years of experience as an OT Technician
