What is the job?
As Pastry Chef, you’ll lead and manage the pastry and bakery operations, ensuring high-quality desserts, baked goods and confectionery items are prepared and presented to brand standards. You’ll oversee production, manage the pastry team and maintain food safety and cost control measures.
Your day to day
People • Supervise and direct pastry kitchen team members. • Plan daily production schedules and assign tasks. • Train and develop team members in pastry techniques and presentation. • Conduct regular briefings to communicate expectations and standards. • Coordinate with F&B; service and banquet teams for event requirements. • Recommend or initiate HR-related actions when required. Guest Experience • Ensure all pastry and bakery items meet quality, taste and presentation standards. • Develop creative dessert menus aligned with brand and seasonal trends. • Ensure timely preparation of items for restaurants, banquets and in-room dining. • Respond to guest feedback and special dietary requests professionally.



• Maintain consistency in product quality and innovation. Responsible Business • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene and sanitation standards. • Monitor proper storage and handling of ingredients and finished products. • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen. • Control inventory levels and minimize wastage. • Follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines. • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned. Financial • Assist in preparing and managing the pastry kitchen budget. • Monitor and control food cost, wastage and labour expenses. • Support menu pricing and cost analysis initiatives. • Ensure accurate inventory management and stock rotation. Accountabilities • Leads pastry operations and supervises the pastry team. Responsible for maintaining product quality, achieving financial targets and ensuring compliance with brand and safety standards.
