We are hiring a kitchen helper with basic cooking and beverage-making experience. The role includes assisting in kitchen operations, preparing simple Chinese dishes, sandwiches, and handling non-alcoholic drinks like coffee and cold beverages. Speed, cleanliness, and multitasking are important.
Key ResponsibilitiesFood Preparation
- Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and meats
- Prepare mise en place for daily service
- Make basic sauces (Schezwan, chilli garlic, sandwich spreads)
- Portion ingredients as required
Basic Cooking
- Prepare simple Chinese dishes:
- Hakka noodles, fried rice
- Manchurian and chilli-based gravies
- Make sandwiches:
- Veg and non-veg grilled sandwiches
- Prepare fillings and assemble orders
- Perform:
- Frying, sautéing, boiling, reheating
- Basic wok handling (if experienced)
Beverage Preparation
- Tea, coffee (basic machine or manual)
- Cold coffee, milkshakes, soft beverages
- Maintain drink station cleanliness
- Ensure consistent taste and presentation
Kitchen Operations Support
- Assist chef during rush hours
- Help in plating and order assembly
- Ensure quick service and coordination
Hygiene & Cleaning
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and beverage area
- Wash utensils and equipment
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards
Stock Handling
- Store ingredients properly (FIFO method)
- Assist in inventory management
- Inform about low stock
Requirements :
- 1 to 2 years experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of Chinese cooking, sandwiches, and beverages
- Ability to multitask (cooking + drinks + prep)
- Physically fit and able to work long hours
- Team player with valuable attitude
Working Hours
- Split shift (example):
- 10-11 AM: cleaning
- 11-4 PM: prep + lunch service
- 6-12 PM: dinner service
- 12-1 AM: closing
Salary
- ₹8,000 - ₹15,000/month
