Job Purpose : The PGT Biology teacher is responsible for teaching Biology to senior secondary students (Classes XI-XII), developing scientific understanding, critical thinking, and practical laboratory skills. The teacher should create an engaging learning environment that promotes curiosity, academic excellence, and strong conceptual clarity in biological sciences.

Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Duties

- Teach Biology to senior secondary classes (XI and XII) as per the prescribed curriculum (CBSE/State Board or equivalent).
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, and classroom activities to enhance learning.
- Explain biological concepts such as genetics, human physiology, ecology, evolution, and biotechnology in a clear and engaging manner.
- Use interactive teaching methods, digital tools, models, and experiments to make learning effective.

2. Laboratory Management

- Conduct and supervise biology practicals and laboratory experiments .
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of laboratory equipment and materials.
- Guide students in record writing, observation, and scientific analysis .

3. Student Assessment

- Prepare and evaluate tests,



assignments, practical exams, and projects .
- Monitor students’ academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Help students prepare for board examinations and competitive exams such as NEET.
- Taking hostel classes

4. Student Development

- Encourage scientific thinking, curiosity, and research-oriented learning.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to students regarding higher education and career options in biology-related fields .
- Support students in science exhibitions, competitions, and projects .

5. Classroom Management

- Maintain discipline and a positive classroom setting.
- Promote respect, teamwork, and active participation among students.

6. Administrative Duties

- Maintain attendance records, academic reports, and student progress records .
- Participate in staff meetings, parent-teacher meetings, and school activities .
- Contribute to curriculum development and academic planning .

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
