Job Title : School Nurse Location : Ecole Mondiale World School, Mumbai, India Reports To : School Administration / Head of School

Position Overview

Ecole Mondiale World School is seeking a compassionate, organized, and proactive School Nurse to oversee the health and wellbeing of students and staff. The School Nurse will provide first aid, manage student medical records, administer medications when required, and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols within the school environment.

Key Responsibilities

Student Health Care

- Provide first aid and immediate medical care to students and staff during school hours.
- Monitor and manage students with chronic medical conditions (e.g., asthma, allergies, diabetes).
- Administer prescribed medications according to school policies and parental consent.
- Maintain and update student health records and medical histories.

Health Monitoring & Prevention

- Conduct basic health screenings and track student health concerns.
- Monitor communicable diseases and advise on prevention and containment measures.
- Promote healthy habits and wellness among students through awareness and guidance.

Emergency Response

- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain emergency medical kits and ensure all supplies are stocked and up to date.
- Assist in creating and implementing school emergency health procedures.

Collaboration

- Work closely with teachers, counselors, and school leadership to support student wellbeing.
- Communicate with parents regarding student health issues, injuries, or required follow-ups.




- Coordinate with local hospitals or healthcare providers when necessary.

Compliance & Documentation

- Ensure the school complies with local health regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of injuries, treatments, and health incidents.
- Support school health audits and inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Registered Nurse (RN) or BSc Nursing with valid nursing license in India.
- Minimum 2-3 years of clinical or school nursing experience .
- Certification in First Aid, CPR, and Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred.
- Experience working with children or adolescents is highly desirable.
- Strong communication, empathy, and organizational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act efficiently during emergencies.
