Urgent Requirement!

Looking for an experienced Art Teacher to handle Primary for a Cambridge International School at Arumbakkam. Should have teaching experience background with very valuable English communication skills.

Job Profile & Key Responsibilities

- Curriculum Development & Teaching :

- Develop lesson plans aligned with educational standards (art history, techniques, and art theory).

- Instruct students in diverse mediums, including drawing, painting, and digital art.

- Demonstrate techniques such as pencil shading, painting.

- Foster an inclusive environment that encourages self-expression and creative thinking.

- Classroom Management & Safety :

- Manage the inventory, ordering, and organization of art supplies.

- Ensure classroom cleanliness and safety by providing instructions on using tools properly.

- Maintain discipline and a structured, stimulating environment.

- Assessment & Evaluation :

- Grade student art projects, exams, and participation.

- Track student progress, maintain records, and provide constructive feedback.

- Help students develop art portfolios.

- School Involvement & Communication :

- Organize school exhibitions and decorate school buildings to display student artwork.

- Communicate with parents, colleagues, and administration about student progress.

- Participate in faculty meetings and school events.

- Mentorship :





- Act as a role model, encouraging student creativity and personal growth.

- Support students with special artistic interests or needs.

Qualifications & Experience

- Education : Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts, or a specialized Art Teacher Diploma (ATD) / Diploma in Fine Arts
- Certification : Relevant teaching certification.
- Experience : Previous experience (typically 1 to 4+ years) in a recognized school, with preference for Cambridge
- IGCSE curriculum knowledge.

Required Skills and Abilities :

- Artistic Proficiency : Strong skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, and craft techniques.
- Pedagogical Knowledge : Ability to create age-appropriate lesson plans, manage classroom behavior, and assess student progress.
- Interpersonal Skills : Excellent communication to engage students, report to administration, and interact with parents.
- Creativity and Patience : Ability to foster artistic growth and self-expression in students.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Arumbakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
