About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, service-oriented Housekeeping / Service Associate to support room readiness, cleanliness and day-to-day guest service at a small boutique mountain property. The role is suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, well-presented spaces, follows established procedures and is willing to assist with practical service requirements in a small team.

The successful candidate should understand that, in a boutique property, housekeeping and guest service are closely connected. Attention to detail, responsiveness and a helpful attitude are essential.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

1. Housekeeping and Room Readiness

- Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms and assigned areas to the required standards.

- Change linen, replenish amenities and ensure rooms are ready before guest arrivals.

- Maintain cleanliness and presentation of common areas and service spaces.

- Report room defects, missing items and maintenance issues promptly.

2. Guest Service

- Assist with guest requests and provide courteous, responsive service.

- Coordinate with the Operations Manager and other team members on room readiness and guest requirements.

- Support meal service or other reasonable guest-service tasks when required.





- Handle guest belongings and property items responsibly.

3. Hygiene, Safety and Supplies

- Follow cleaning procedures, hygiene requirements and safe handling practices.

- Use cleaning materials and equipment appropriately.

- Monitor housekeeping supplies and report replenishment needs.

- Maintain orderly storage of linen, amenities and cleaning supplies.

4. Teamwork and Daily Operations

- Complete assigned tasks on schedule and maintain consistent standards.

- Coordinate with colleagues during guest arrivals, departures and busy periods.

- Follow property procedures and respond constructively to feedback.

- Assist with practical daily tasks appropriate to the role and operational requirements.

Essential Requirements

- Previous housekeeping, hotel service or related hospitality experience is preferred; 2+ years is an advantage.

- Good attention to cleanliness, presentation and detail.

- A reliable, cooperative and service-minded approach.

- Ability to follow instructions, manage assigned tasks and work effectively in a small team.

- Willingness to live and work in a remote mountain location and manage the practical demands of harsh winter conditions.

- Flexibility to support reasonable housekeeping and guest-service requirements.

Formal educational qualifications are not the primary selection criterion; practical ability, attitude and reliability matter most.

Preferred

- Experience in a boutique hotel, resort, homestay or mountain property.

- Familiarity with guest-room standards and hospitality service procedures.

- Candidates from nearby areas who understand mountain living and seasonal conditions may be preferred.

Working Arrangements

The role is full time and on-site in Hamta near Manali. Candidates should be comfortable with the location, winter conditions and the property's living arrangements.
