About the Role

Maruti Denim Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Accountant / Junior Accountant to support daily accounting operations. The candidate will work under the guidance of the Senior Accountant and assist with bookkeeping, accounting entries, invoice processing, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.

The ideal candidate should have a basic to good understanding of accounting principles, a willingness to learn, and the ability to complete assigned tasks accurately and on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
- Enter and verify accounting transactions in Tally, ERP, or other accounting software.
- Prepare and maintain sales and purchase invoices, vouchers, debit notes, and credit notes.
- Maintain customer and supplier ledgers and supporting documents.
- Assist with Accounts Payable (payments to suppliers) and Accounts Receivable (receipts from customers).
- Assist in bank reconciliation and party ledger reconciliation.
- Maintain proper records of bills, invoices, payments, receipts, and other accounting documents.
- Assist the Senior Accountant with GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance-related work.
- Support the preparation of monthly accounting reports and MIS.
- Identify and report discrepancies in accounting entries and documents to the Senior Accountant.
- Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, and customers for bills, invoices, and payment-related information.
- Assist with month-end closing, audit documentation, and finalization of accounts as directed by the Senior Accountant.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate,



complete, and properly maintained.

Reporting Structure

The selected candidate will report directly to the Senior Accountant and perform accounting activities as assigned. The Senior Accountant will review the work, provide guidance, and oversee compliance and finalization-related activities.

Candidate Profile

- B.Com / M.Com or a relevant commerce qualification preferred.
- Basic to good practical knowledge of accounting principles.
- Familiarity with Tally, ERP, or other accounting software.
- Basic understanding of GST, TDS, and accounting documentation.
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation and customer/supplier ledger maintenance preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or textile company will be an advantage.
- Freshers with a good understanding of accounting may also apply, depending on the position and practical knowledge required.
- Valuable attention to detail, honesty, responsibility, and willingness to learn.
- Ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines, and work effectively under supervision.

Experience

- 1 to 3 years of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Candidates with practical knowledge of day-to-day accounting will be given preference.

We are looking for someone who understands the basics of accounting, maintains accurate records, follows established processes, and takes responsibility for assigned work. The candidate should be willing to learn and grow under the guidance of the Senior Accountant.
