About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Injection Moulding Mould Setter / Machine Setter for our manufacturing facility producing cosmetics containers and packaging components.

This is a practical shop-floor role. We need someone who can personally handle mould changeovers, machine setting, process parameter setting, cycle-time optimisation, robot setting, masterbatch/colour setting and basic process troubleshooting.

The person should also be systematic enough to record approved mould and machine parameters properly and train operators/junior staff working under him.

This is not a managerial or supervisor-only position. The candidate must be comfortable working directly on the machines and moulds.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently carry out complete mould changeovers on injection moulding machines.
- Safely remove, install, align and set moulds on machines.
- Carry out machine setup after mould change and bring the machine into stable production.
- Set and adjust injection moulding parameters such as:
- Barrel and mould temperatures
- Injection pressure
- Holding pressure and holding time
- Cooling time
- Shot size
- Screw speed
- Back pressure
- Injection speed
- Clamp settings
- Cycle time
- Optimise the cycle time of running moulds while maintaining required product quality.
- Identify opportunities to improve output, reduce downtime and increase machine productivity.
- Handle robot / pick-and-place settings used with injection moulding machines.
- Carry out basic robot setting and adjustment during mould changes and production setup.
- Handle masterbatch and colour setting,



including correct dosing/mixing ratios and maintaining colour consistency.
- Support colour trials and make required process adjustments.
- Identify and troubleshoot common injection moulding defects including:
- Short shots
- Flash
- Sink marks
- Burn marks
- Warpage
- Flow marks
- Colour variation
- Dimensional issues
- Coordinate with Tool Room, Maintenance, Production and Quality departments whenever machine, mould or process problems arise.
- Carry out basic troubleshooting before escalating the problem.
- Prepare and maintain Mould Parameter Sheets / Machine Parameter Sheets.
- Record final approved settings properly after mould trials and process optimisation.
- Ensure operators follow approved machine parameters.
- Maintain proper records so mould settings can be repeated consistently during future production runs.
- Train operators and junior mould setters in:
- Machine operation
- Mould changing
- Basic parameter understanding
- Quality defect identification
- Correct production practices
- Help standardise mould changeover and machine-setting procedures across the shop floor.
- Reduce:
- Mould changeover time
- Machine downtime
- Rejection
- Material wastage
- Cycle-time losses
- Ensure moulds and machines are handled carefully during production and changeovers.




- Follow safety standards and maintain a clean and organised work area.

Essential Requirements

- Minimum 7–10 years of hands-on injection moulding experience.
- Must have independently performed mould changeovers.
- Strong practical knowledge of injection moulding machines.
- Strong knowledge of machine setup and process parameters.
- Ability to independently start and stabilise production after mould change.
- Experience in cycle-time optimisation.
- Practical understanding of moulding defects and process troubleshooting.
- Experience with masterbatch / colour setting.
- Basic experience with robot setting or pick-and-place systems.
- Ability to prepare and maintain mould/machine parameter sheets.
- Ability to understand production targets, downtime, rejection and machine performance.
- Must be comfortable working directly on the shop floor.
- Ability to train and guide operators working under him.

Systematic and disciplined approach toward machine settings and documentation.
Our products are cosmetics packaging components, where appearance, colour consistency, dimensional accuracy, productivity and rejection control are very important.
