Job Responsibilities

- Design Special Purpose Machines (SPM), automation equipment, and mechanical assemblies.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models.
- Create detailed engineering drawings, assembly drawings, and fabrication drawings.
- Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and component specifications.
- Coordinate with production, assembly, and purchase teams.
- Modify existing designs based on customer requirements.
- Ensure design accuracy, feasibility, quality, and timely completion.
- Support machine assembly, troubleshooting, and commissioning when required.

Required Software Skills

- AutoCAD: 2D drafting, manufacturing drawings, dimensioning, and detailing.
- SolidWorks: 3D part modelling,



assembly modelling, and engineering drawings.
- SolidWorks sheet metal and weldment design knowledge is an advantage.
- Knowledge of GD&T;, fits and tolerances, and engineering standards.
- Understanding of pneumatic systems, mechanical components, and automation machine design.
- Knowledge of BOM preparation and manufacturing processes.

Required Experience

- 1–5 years of experience in mechanical design or SPM machine design.
- Experience in industrial automation or special-purpose machine design is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Valuable problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills.
