Educational Qualifications

B.Sc/M.Sc./M.Tech. in Chemistry & Physics

Remuneration: 25-30k Monthly

Desirable Technical Skills

- Laboratory Testing: Hands-on experience in experimental testing, sample preparation, laboratory instrumentation, calibration and analytical procedures.
- Chemical Synthesis: Knowledge of chemical synthesis, reagent preparation, reaction optimization and laboratory safety protocols.
- Water Quality Analysis: Experience in physicochemical testing, including pH, DO, COD, BOD, TDS, turbidity and nutrient analysis.
- MATLAB: Proficiency in MATLAB for computational modelling, simulation, data processing, visualization and statistical analysis.
- Literature Review: Ability to conduct systematic scientific literature reviews, critically evaluate research publications and identify research gaps.
- Scientific Documentation: Technical report preparation, experimental data interpretation, research documentation and scientific manuscript writing.
- Experimental Research: Experience in designing experiments, validating results, troubleshooting laboratory procedures and maintaining laboratory records.
- Advanced Instrumentation: Familiarity with UV-Vis spectroscopy, analytical sensors and laboratory-based water-quality monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct laboratory experiments, chemical synthesis and physicochemical testing for biofloc and water-recycling systems.
- Prepare chemical reagents, standards and experimental samples following laboratory protocols.
- Perform analytical testing, instrument calibration and experimental validation.
- Develop MATLAB-based simulations, computational models and experimental data analyses.
- Conduct scientific literature reviews and prepare technical summaries of relevant research.




- Prepare laboratory testing reports, scientific documentation, research manuscripts and project progress reports.
- Maintain experimental records, testing protocols, observations and research datasets.
- Coordinate with research scientists and collaborating institutions to achieve project milestones.

- Describe your M.Sc./M.Tech. dissertation or research project in 100–150 words. Specify your individual contributions.
- Which laboratory instruments have you independently operated? Specify your experience with UV-Vis spectrophotometers, pH meters, DO meters, analytical balances and other instruments.
- Have you performed chemical synthesis or prepared analytical reagents? Describe one experiment, including chemicals, methodology, safety precautions and characterization techniques.
- Can you use MATLAB to process experimental sensor data, remove noise, generate calibration curves and perform regression analysis? Explain your approach.
- Identify two recent peer-reviewed research papers relevant to biofloc technology, wastewater recycling or water-quality sensing. Provide the DOI and summarize their findings and research limitations.
- Are you comfortable performing laboratory experiments, chemical handling, data analysis and scientific documentation as part of your regular responsibilities?
- Are you available to work full-time, in office in Chennai for the proposed 24-month project?
