About the role
We need a trustworthy, alert security guard who will live at the store and keep the premises, stock and people safe, day and night.
Responsibilities
- Guard the store and godown, with special attention at night and on holidays
- Open and close the shutters and gates on time, and check that all locks are secure
- Keep a register of visitors, vehicles, and goods coming in and going out
- Check that goods leave the store only with a proper bill or gate pass
- Take regular rounds of the premises and watch the CCTV cameras
- Stop any unauthorised person from entering after working hours
- Switch off lights, fans and other equipment after closing, and watch for fire or electrical risks
- Report any theft, damage or suspicious activity to the owner immediately
- Keep the living area and store entrance clean and in order
Requirements
- Nepali candidates only
- Age [25–45] years
- Physically fit and alert
- Experience as a security guard or watchman preferred
- Honest, disciplined and reliable, with no alcohol or smoking on duty
- Must be willing to live at the store full time
- Valid ID proof (Nepal citizenship card, passport or Aadhaar) and willingness to complete police verification
- Basic understanding of Hindi, Kannada, Telugu and Tamil
