Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Admission Manager / Counsellor to manage student enquiries, counselling, admissions and parent interactions. The candidate will be responsible for converting enquiries into admissions through professional counselling, timely follow-ups and effective communication.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, confidence in speaking with students and parents, and the ability to understand students' academic and career goals.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle incoming admission enquiries through calls, WhatsApp and other communication channels.
- Counsel students and parents regarding available courses, batches, admission procedures and career opportunities.
- Understand students' academic background, interests and career objectives.
- Explain the college's academic, residential, training and student-support facilities.
- Conduct follow-ups with prospective students and parents.
- Maintain accurate enquiry and admission records in CRM/Excel or other systems.
- Coordinate campus visits and admission appointments.
- Follow up with leads at different stages of the admission process.
- Achieve monthly admission and conversion targets.
- Coordinate with the academic, accounts, administration and hostel teams for smooth admission processing.
- Maintain professional relationships with students and parents.
- Handle objections and queries professionally and provide accurate information.




- Prepare regular admission and lead-conversion reports for management.
- Participate in admission campaigns, counselling sessions, seminars and promotional activities when required.

Required Qualifications

- Graduate in any discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in Marketing, Sales, HR or a related field will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in education counselling, admissions, sales or tele-counselling are preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office/Google Workspace and basic computer operations.

Experience

Working Conditions

This is a full-time, on-campus position at Chanakya Defence College, Dehradun.

The candidate should be comfortable working in an educational/residential campus setting and interacting with students, parents and staff on a regular basis.

Salary

₹20,000 – ₹35,000 per month, depending on experience, skills and suitability.
