Role overview

We seek a hands-on, AI-native full-stack engineer who can translate business problems into deployed solutions and own implementation, debugging, infrastructure and baseline security end to end. Startup experience and broad engineering exposure are preferred.

Candidate requirements

- Proficient with Cursor, Claude Code, Codex or equivalent AI development tools, while able to explain, review, debug and own AI-generated code.
- Solid Python development; frontend experience with React or Angular.
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Practical knowledge of Docker, containerised applications, deployment and troubleshooting.
- Cloud experience: OCI preferred; AWS, Azure or GCP acceptable.
- Solid engineering fundamentals, sound security judgement and secure-by-design thinking.
- Independent problem solving and end-to-end ownership across code, deployment, infrastructure and basic security.
- Ability to work directly with business stakeholders and turn ambiguous requirements into practical technical decisions.
- Comfortable in fast-paced, high-accountability environments; 5 6+ years preferred, flexible for exceptional candidates.





Availability & screening

- Prioritise immediate joiners or notice periods of 15 days or less; extend to a maximum of 30 days if needed.
- Assess AI-tool proficiency AND independent code understanding during initial screening.
- Share resumes for review only after successful completion of the technical assignment.

Technical assignment

Build and deploy a working AI chatbot using publicly available information from Dar Global (https://darglobal.co.uk/) and Wasalt (https://wasalt.sa/en).

1. Collect relevant publicly available information from both websites, respecting access restrictions.
2. Build an AI chatbot grounded in the collected content.
3. Use a suitable free model through OpenRouter.
4. Containerise the application with Docker.
5. Deploy the application and provide a live URL for direct testing.

Submission & evaluation

- Provide the live application URL, source repository and brief setup/deployment instructions.
- Briefly explain architecture, data collection, model choice, security measures and how AI-generated code was verified.
- Evaluation: functionality, engineering understanding, robustness, deployability, security awareness and independent ownership.
