SGS is looking for an Accounts Payable Accountant with a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field and 2–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts Payable or Procure-to-Pay, with knowledge of supplier invoices, reconciliations, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel, supporting operations across KSA and Bahrain.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the end-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process for KSA and Bahrain in compliance with SGS policies and the No PO–No Pay principle.
• Process supplier invoices accurately, ensuring correct coding, VAT treatment, supporting documentation, and approvals.
• Verify invoices against purchase orders, goods receipts, contracts, and supporting documents to ensure three-way matching compliance.
• Manage weekly and monthly supplier payment cycles, prepare payment proposals, and support payment file uploads.
• Monitor invoice approval workflows and follow up with stakeholders to prevent payment delays and aged liabilities.
• Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice status, payment schedules, remittance advice, account balances, and disputes.
• Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies, blocked invoices, duplicate payments, debit balances, and aged open items.
• Review prepaid expenses and prepare monthly accrual and prepaid expense schedules in accordance with SGS accounting policies.
• Support month-end and year-end closing, including AP aging reviews, GR/IR reconciliations, accruals, prepaid reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.
