Overview

Mastercard is seeking a Technical Lead to join the Cardholder Services, Global Benefits team in Pune, India.

The team develops next-generation products and services that enable cardholders to securely and efficiently access and use benefits across digital channels.

Role

As a Technical Lead, you will provide hands-on technical leadership across the design, development, integration, testing, and delivery of CHS applications.

You will lead technical design and architecture decisions across Java/Spring Boot services,



React/Angular applications, APIs, databases, event-driven integrations, and cloud platforms. You will drive engineering best practices, technical evaluations and PoCs, resolve complex technical issues, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, resilient, and production-ready.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering, Architecture, and QE teams and provide technical guidance and mentoring to engineers.

Skills / Requirements
Strong hands-on experience in Java, J2EE, Spring, and Spring Boot
Strong hands-on experience with React and/or Angular
Deep experience with REST APIs, Web Services, and microservices architecture
Strong experience with Oracle/SQL, including query optimization and data validation
Experience with Kafka or other event-driven/messaging platforms
Strong understanding of distributed systems, design patterns, scalability, and resiliency
Experience with CI/CD, Git, code reviews, an
