About the project

We have a mobile app that is already built, using Expo/React Native, a Node.js backend, and a PostgreSQL database, hosted on Replit. We need an experienced developer to review it, test it thoroughly, and prepare it for launch.

This is not a build-from-scratch job. You’ll work through what exists, find what’s broken, and finish it. Details of the product are shared only after an NDA is signed.

What you’ll do
Test every feature end to end across all user roles and screens, including sign-up, login, account management, messaging, notifications, and settings.
Review the backend: API routes, database design,



authentication and authorization, data separation between users and roles, error handling, and performance.
Security pass: dependency vulnerabilities, secrets handling, rate limiting, and input validation.
Fix defects you find, or document them clearly with steps to reproduce when they need a product decision.
Check release readiness: the published build, Android and iOS test builds, and App Store / Play Store requirements.
Deliver a final report with a prioritised list (must fix, should fix, nice to have) and your launch recommendations.

What we need from you
Solid experience with React Native / Expo and a Node.js/TypeScript backend with PostgreSQL
A record of shipping apps to the App Store and Google Play
Comfort working with Replit projects and reviewing AI-generated code critically
Practical knowledge of authentication, email delivery, and API security
Clear written English and a habit of documenting your testing
