Today, brands also need to appear in AI Overviews, featured answers, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Copilot and other AI-powered discovery platforms.
Chasing Illusions Studio is looking for an AI SEO Specialist who understands both sides of up-to-date organic visibility:
Traditional SEO + Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) + Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).
This is not a role for someone who only knows keyword research, backlinks and meta tags.
We need someone who understands how search engines crawl, rank and evaluate content — and also how AI systems discover, interpret, cite, summarize and recommend brands.
What You’ll Own
1. Traditional SEO
You should have strong hands-on knowledge of:
● Keyword research and search intent mapping
● Competitor and SERP analysis
● On-page + Technical SEO audits
● Content optimization + Internal linking strategy
● URL structure and website architecture




● Meta details (title, description, headings, etc.)
● Image SEO
● Schema markup + Core Web Vitals
● XML sitemaps and robots.txt
● Canonicalization
● Indexing and crawlability
● Page speed optimization
● Duplicate content management
● Redirects and 404 issues
● Backlink analysis and link-building
● Local and location-based SEO
● Google Search Console and Google Analytics
● Organic traffic, ranking and conversion analysis
You should be comfortable diagnosing why a page is not ranking, not indexing, losing traffic or underperforming against competitors.
2. AEO — Answer Engine Optimization
We need someone who understands how to optimize content for direct answers, not just blue-link rankings.
You should know how to:
● Structure content around real user questions
● Identify conversational and long-tail queries
● Optimize for featured snippets
● Build FAQ-driven content strategically
● Improve
