About Data Analyst –Financial Planning & Data Analytics:
Gartner is seeking a agile Data Analyst to join our Finance FP&A; team, supporting the Conferences Business Unit. This pivotal role partners with Finance and BU stakeholders to understand requirements, build solutions and advanced data analytics. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a passion for leveraging data to drive business performance and innovation.
What you will do:
• Collaborate with Finance and Conferences leadership to develop and optimize financial analytics for sales teams, supporting profitable growth and revenue enhancement.
• Partner with Finance and Business Unit partners to solve/analyse complex business problems.
• Drive automation of reporting processes using advanced tools such as Power BI, SQL, and Python to deliver timely, accurate KPI dashboards.
• Synthesize and interpret complex datasets to generate meaningful business insights, supporting strategic and operational decision-making
• Identify opportunities to streamline data/internal financial processes,



automate data extraction and develop new metrics.
• Provide ad hoc modelling and analytical insights to the business and help in strategic and operational initiatives.
• Work with stakeholders to understand business needs and convert them into data analysis projects, while proactively proposing innovative, data-driven solutions.
• Engage in cross-team collaboration and address ad hoc/ analytical requests from multiple business units, and with individuals with varying levels of analytical experience.
• Ensure rigorous, timely, and accurate financial reporting infrastructure and analytics for executive leadership and their teams.
• Independently evaluate and enhance existing financial models and frameworks, recommending improvements to drive efficiency and accuracy.
