Function: Sales Engineer

About the Role:
Coherent Laser India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a Laser Sales Engineer to strengthen our sales and business development activities in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical interest in laser systems, photonics and industrial laser applications, combined with the ability to understand customer requirements and develop appropriate technical solutions.
This role involves working closely with customers, understanding their manufacturing processes and technical challenges, identifying suitable laser solutions, and developing new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and grow business opportunities for industrial laser systems and solutions.
• Identify potential customers, applications and new market opportunities.
• Understand customer manufacturing processes and identify suitable laser-based solutions.
• Conduct technical discussions, product presentations and application-oriented demonstrations with customers.
• Work closely with customers to understand requirements related to laser power,



wavelength, beam quality, BPP/M², CW and pulsed laser systems, optics and beam delivery.
• Support feasibility discussions and coordinate application trials and demonstrations.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals in coordination with internal teams.
• Develop and maintain robust relationships with customers, OEMs, system integrators and technology partners.
• Track opportunities, customer interactions, sales activities and follow-up actions through the company's sales process.
• Coordinate with application, service and technical teams to ensure effective customer support.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities and emerging laser applications.
• Achieve assigned sales and business development targets.
