Roles and Responsibilities:
• Design and deliver production GenAI systems using retrieval-augmented generation, model adaptation and multi-step agent workflows.
• Develop Python backend services with FastAPI and microservices patterns, including asynchronous processing, streaming, retries and rate-limit handling.
• Build evaluation frameworks covering retrieval quality, generation quality, regression testing, golden datasets and model or prompt changes.
• Deploy and operate AI services on AWS, establishing reliability, monitoring, tracing, cost controls and model fallback strategies.
• Review architecture and code, mentor engineers, and advise product and business stakeholders on practical AI capabilities and limitations.

Skills Required:
• 13 - 16 years of experience in software engineering, data science or machine learning,



including at least 5 years in machine learning or NLP and at least 2 years building production GenAI systems.
• Expert-level Python development with production-quality, maintainable and tested code.
• Strong foundations in NLP and deep learning, including transformers, attention, embeddings, tokenization and NLP evaluation metrics.
• Hands-on experience building retrieval-augmented generation systems and agentic AI workflows in production.
• Proven experience designing FastAPI microservices and deploying AI applications using AWS Cloud services.
• Production database experience with MySQL and the ability to design data layers for application, conversation and audit data.

Good to Have:
• Experience with machine learning and data science practices.

Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline
