We're hiring: Infrastructure Engineer – Linux & VMware
? Remote, India | ? Up to INR 10 LPA | ? Join within 30 days
g3hive is a GCC-based data centre infrastructure consultancy. This is a hands-on engineering role: you'll build lab environments and proofs of concept (POCs) for our enterprise customers, then help take them into production across the GCC.
Your primary focus will be Linux technologies, backed by a strong VMware background. We're looking for someone with an open mindset who genuinely enjoys working with both Linux and VMware products.
What you'll do
• Design and build lab POCs for customers, from first install to a working demo
• Deploy and configure Linux-based platforms, including OpenShift, RHEL & KVM
• Build a full VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.x POC, in our lab and then in a customer production environment
• Be open to work on monitoring tools such as Checkmk and SolarWinds
• Administer VMware vSphere: ESXi, vCenter, clusters, HA/DRS
• Document everything: build guides, as-built records and POC outcomes
You must have
• 3 to 6 years of hands-on infrastructure experience
• Robust Linux administration skills (RHEL, Ubuntu or similar). This is the core of the role
• A strong, hands-on VMware vSphere background (ESXi, vCenter)
• An open, curious mindset and enjoyment of building things from scratch in a lab
• Clear written and spoken English, and the discipline to work independently
Nice to have
• VMware Cloud Foundation, vSAN or NSX experience
• OpenShift or Kubernetes experience
• Checkmk, SolarWinds or other monitoring tools
• Ansible or Bash scripting
• RHCSA, RHCE or VCP-DCV certification
The terms, upfront
• Salary: up to INR 12 LPA fixed, based on experience
• Joining: within 30 days of offer. Immediate joiners strongly preferred
• Location: fully remote, India
• Hours: Monday to Friday, aligned to UAE business hours
• Engagement: full-time, exclusive consultancy contract. No other jobs or freelance work alongside
• Benefits: 20 days paid
