Invest India is the National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. It hosts teams working with various government initiatives such as Make in India, Startup India and PMG.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development and Investment Facilitation
• Identify, develop, and pursue investment opportunities through targeted business development, market mapping, and strategic outreach to domestic and international companies.
• Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective investors by identifying target companies, understanding their expansion plans, and assessing their investment potential in India.
• Engage with business leaders and decision-makers to understand investment interests, business priorities, and market entry requirements.
• Facilitate investment opportunities by connecting prospective investors with relevant government departments, state agencies, and internal Sector, Country, and State teams.




• Support the progression of investment leads from initial outreach and engagement to qualification and further facilitation.

2. Business Outreach and Relationship Management
• Develop and execute structured business outreach strategies to engage prospective investors, industry leaders, corporate decision-makers, and ecosystem partners.
• Establish and maintain relationships with multinational corporations, Indian companies, industry associations, chambers of commerce, consultants, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct targeted outreach through meetings, networking initiatives, industry events, business forums, and other engagement platforms.
• Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships, business collaborations, and investment promotion initiatives.
• Maintain consistent engagement with prospective investors to nurture relationships and generate recent investment opportunities.
