Village Miles is an early-stage India-focused travel marketplace connecting travelers with local hosts in villages, rural communities, and lesser-known destinations.

We are hiring a Founder’s Associate to work directly with the founder across strategy and hands-on operations. This is an ownership role for someone who can turn ambiguous priorities into structured plans, execute them, and report what the data and customer reality actually say.

You will research markets and competitors, build operating plans and dashboards, coordinate cross-functional launches, document SOPs, improve internal workflows, and support partner, host, customer, and growth initiatives. You will also identify responsible uses of AI, automation, and agents that reduce repetitive work without lowering quality or trust.

Success means priorities move from idea to measurable execution with clear ownership, reliable follow-through, and honest escalation of risks.

Requirements
• Strong structured thinking, written communication, and execution discipline





• Comfortable owning ambiguous work from problem definition through completion

• Ability to analyse data, build straightforward operating models, and communicate decisions clearly

• Experience in strategy, operations, consulting, a startup, a marketplace, travel, or a similarly fast-moving environment

• Practical knowledge of AI tools, automated workflows, and AI agents; able to choose where automation helps and where human review is essential

• Strong research, documentation, stakeholder coordination, and follow-through

• Willingness to challenge weak assumptions respectfully and work closely with the founder
