Specialisation: Structural Design, Assessment and Retrofitting Project Exposure: United Kingdom, Ireland and other European countries

Job Requirements :

We are looking for an experienced and technically competent Structural Design Engineer with 7–8 years of professional experience in structural engineering, particularly in the assessment, analysis, design and retrofitting of existing buildings and structures. The candidate should possess robust structural design fundamentals, proficiency in relevant European design codes and standards, and prior experience working on projects in the United Kingdom, Ireland or other European countries. The role requires an engineer capable of independently undertaking structural calculations, evaluating existing structures and developing practical, secure and cost-effective retrofit solutions.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:-

- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, structural behavior, load paths, stability, load combinations and design principles.




- Proficiency in the design of reinforced concrete and structural steel structures, with a particular focus on existing structures and retrofit applications.
- Good knowledge of structural assessment methodologies, including capacity checks, serviceability assessments, structural deficiencies and strengthening requirements.
- Working knowledge of retrofit techniques such as steel plate strengthening, reinforced concrete jacketing, steel jacketing, FRP strengthening, structural member replacement and foundation strengthening, as applicable to project requirements.
- Ability to independently develop structural design calculations and engineering solutions rather than relying solely on software-generated results.
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as Tekla Structural Designer, Robot Structural Analysis, ETABS, SAP2000 or equivalent tools.
- Ability to interpret structural drawings and prepare or review design details using AutoCAD, Revit or other relevant drafting and BIM tools.
- Good technical report-writing skills and the ability to clearly document design assumptions, calculations, limitations and recommendations.

Educational Qualification & Experience-:

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech.) is mandatory.
- Approximately 7–8 years of relevant professional experience in structural design, including demonstrable experience in retrofit, rehabilitation or strengthening projects.
- Proven experience in structural analysis, design calculations and technical documentation for projects undertaken in the UK, Ireland or other European countries.
- A postgraduate qualification in Structural Engineering will be an added advantage.
- Experience in an engineering consultancy or structural design organisation serving international clients will be preferred.
