Job Title – Solution Pod Technical Lead (AI Engineering Lead)

Job Nature – Permanent

Work Location – Hyderabad

Experience – 8-10+ years software / AI engineering, of which 2+ years building large language model or agentic solutions and 2+ years as technical lead of an agile team

Purpose of the role

Own technical delivery of an agentic AI use case in an ArcelorMittal-led Solution Pod – from approved charter and Definition of Ready through secure, tested, operable increments to production readiness, hypercare and handover to operations – applying AI CoE standards and shared platform services.

Key Responsibilities

- Confirm the technical baseline, architecture, non-functional requirements, dependencies and Definition of Ready for the activated use case.
- Decompose the solution into an executable engineering backlog and coordinate AI, data, integration and runtime engineers across sprints.
- Make or escalate technical decisions; maintain Architecture Decision Records, risks,



technical debt and reuse choices with the Enterprise AI Architect.
- Enforce code, evaluation, security, testing, observability, documentation and Definition of Done standards set by the AI CoE.
- Lead defect triage, release readiness (architecture approval, security and Responsible AI reviews, monitoring, runbooks, rollback, hypercare plan), user acceptance testing support and operational rehearsal.
- Coordinate with the AI Platform team for shared services and with the Product Owner and business subject-matter experts for scope and acceptance.
- Complete technical transition, knowledge transfer to operations owners and hypercare exit; harvest proven components and lessons into the CoE pattern library.

Valuable to have skills

- Hands-on engineering of large language model / agentic solutions on Azure AI Foundry (Azure OpenAI, Agent Service), Semantic Kernel / Agent Framework or Copilot Studio
- Solution design across AI, data (Fabric / SQL), integration (Azure API Management, Entra ID) and runtime (Container Apps) layers
- Engineering quality practices: automated testing, AI evaluation, CI/CD, observability, secure coding
- Technical leadership of an agile pod: backlog decomposition, code review, architecture decision records, defect triage, release management
- Clear communication with Product Owners, architects and security / Responsible AI reviewers
- Understanding of AI solution economics including latency, scalability, reliability and token-cost optimization.
- Power Platform / Microsoft 365 Copilot extensibility and low-code integration
- SAP integration experience for Finance or IT processes
- Experience in vendor co-delivery / knowledge-transfer settings
- Certifications: AI-102, AZ-204 or AZ-305,



PSM I
- Experience designing and delivering production-grade agentic AI solutions including orchestration, tool calling, grounding, evaluation and operational readiness
- Experience implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), enterprise search and knowledge-grounded agents

Qualifications

Bachelor degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Data, Business or a relevant discipline. Advanced degree or equivalent professional experience is an advantage.

Deliverables The successful Solution Pod Technical Lead (AI Engineering Lead) combines strong professional depth with a practical delivery mindset. The individual must be able to establish clear methods, make sound decisions, develop colleagues and progressively assume ownership from the implementation partner. Success requires confidence working across India and Europe and balanced judgement across delivery speed, reuse, security and Responsible AI.

This role helps establish a permanent ArcelorMittal AI capability, embeds repeatable engineering and control practices, and reduces dependency on the implementation partner through structured ownership transfer. Success is demonstrated when:

- Increments satisfy functional and non-functional acceptance; evaluation, security and Responsible AI evidence is complete before release; defects and technical debt are transparent; releases are operable with runbooks and rollback; the pod delivers use cases to production readiness with reduced partner involvement.
- Technical baseline and solution design; executable engineering backlog; architecture decision records; integrated solution increments; evaluation/test/security evidence; release readiness pack; operational and knowledge-transfer pack.
