We are looking to hire a full-time Video Editor - primarily for short-form content. Fully remote. Immediate Joiners only.

Salary

- ₹20k-50k/month

Experience

- Comfortable with AI editing tools (Opus Clip, SubMagic, Veed.io, Descript, CapCut and similar), plus Claude Code and MCPs. Keeps up with new tools as they launch.
- Between 0-3 years of experience
- fully capable of editing long form videos into short-form content under supervision

Our perfect hire has completed a few internships, just out of college - with a few interesting side-projects & love for video editing, cinematography, art, music & literature.

Backstory

You'll be our first & only video editor at the company - responsible for converting our long-form Zoom calls (podcasts) & raw talking heads into fast-paced shorts for TikTok, Reels & YT Shorts.

If you consume business, finance & engineering videos content you'd be a good fit. We strongly prefer candidates who can develop their own unique creative style rather than simply copying trending formats from larger creators.

We'll be hiring based on your portfolio.

Tech Stuff

- AI clipping and captioning tools (Opus Clip, SubMagic, Descript or your pick)
- Claude Code and MCPs
- Adobe Premiere Pro
- Adobe After Effects
- Adobe Audition
- Any other tools that get the job done faster

Responsibilities

1. Reviewing footage and deciding what to use
2. Assembling and synchronizing the footage
3. Applying special effects, color correction, and other post-production techniques
4. Creating and inserting graphics, titles, and sound effects
5. Collaborating with the team to meet expectations and adherence to creative briefs

Requirements

- Demonstrated experience in video editing - specifically for shortform content.
- A portfolio with short-form clips you’ve edited, ideally cut from long-form content
- Hands-on experience with at least one AI editing tool

Evaluation

- Candidates will be shortlisted based on their side projects, sample videos & past work exp, in that order.
- Shortlisted candidates will edit a 30-second clip as an assignment. If that’s a problem, please don’t apply.
