The Clinical Diagnostics division at DSS Imagetech is looking for a Field Service Engineer in Mumbai to install, maintain and repair molecular and histopathology instruments, and to keep every customer's downtime to a minimum.

The role at a glance

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be the technical face of DSS Imagetech for diagnostic laboratories. You will install and maintain the instruments, resolve faults quickly, and stay in daily contact with customers until each issue is closed.

What you'll do The Field Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of the division's diagnostic instruments, and for keeping them available to the laboratories that depend on them. The key responsibilities are outlined below.

- Molecular instruments: Install, maintain and repair molecular instruments such as RT PCR systems and automated RNA/DNA sample extraction instruments.
- Histopathology instruments: Repair and maintain histopathology instruments, including IHC and H&E; stainers and tissue processors.
- Preventive maintenance and uptime: Carry out preventive maintenance on molecular and histopathology instruments, and take proactive measures to minimise downtime.
- Customer communication:



Maintain daily communication with customers to ensure each issue is resolved.
- Reporting and collaboration: Prepare maintenance and service reports, and work closely with the sales team.

Who you are

You are a dependable, customer-focused engineer who stays composed under pressure and enjoys solving technical problems.

- Experience and skills: You have 2 to 5 years of experience, with good exposure to diagnostic instrument maintenance and troubleshooting, and hands-on experience in repairing and maintaining molecular and histopathology devices. You have customer handling experience and relevant technical knowledge of basic electrical and electronics. A background in a life science, biotech or diagnostic instruments company is preferable.

- Education: You hold a BE or B.Tech in Biomedical, Mechanical or Electronics. A Diploma holder with valuable experience in the diagnostic instruments field may also be considered.
