Role Summary The IDMC L3 specialist is the top internal escalation point for complex IDMC issues. The role covers IDMC platform administration, service administration across the IDMC suite, and Secure Agent configuration through automation. The specialist resolves advanced usage problems, performs root cause analysis, and builds the capability of L1 and L2 teams through knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer IDMC users, roles, privileges, and groups, including role-based access design and access reviews.
- Administer and advise on CDI, CAI, CDGC, MDM, and CDQ services, including configuration, optimization, and correct use of each.
- Configure and maintain Secure Agents through automation scripting (Ansible or Python), including image management and EC2-based deployments.
- Serve as the escalation point for complex IDMC issues that L1 and L2 cannot resolve.
- Troubleshoot advanced usage problems where features interact unexpectedly, using log analysis to find root causes.
- Perform root cause analysis on recurring or high impact incidents and implement or recommend permanent fixes.
- Identify patterns in escalated tickets and propose configuration or usage changes to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with DBA, application, architecture, and data engineering teams on complex resolution and platform optimization.
- Manage Informatica vendor support cases for confirmed defects and product limitations through to resolution.
- Deliver knowledge transfer to L1 and L2 teams and maintain advanced KB articles and runbooks.




- Take part in post-incident reviews and drive fixes for systemic problems.

Required Skills

- User and role administration: Managing IDMC users, roles, privileges, and groups, with working knowledge of role-based access control.
- IDMC service administration: Hands-on experience across CDI, CAI, CDGC, MDM, and CDQ.
- CDI – Cloud Data Integration CAI – Cloud Application Integration CDGC – Cloud Data Governance and CatLog MDM – Master Data Management CDQ – Cloud Data Quality
- Secure Agent automation: Deploying and configuring Secure Agents through Ansible or Python scripting, including image-based and EC2 deployments.
- AWS for Secure Agent hosting: Amazon EC2 instance management, AMI (machine image) build and maintenance, and automation with the AWS CLI or boto3.
- AWS networking and access: Working knowledge of IAM roles and policies, and VPC networking (subnets, route tables, security groups, NACLs) as they affect Secure Agent connectivity to IDMC and on-premises sources.
- AWS operations: Running commands and managing patches on instances with AWS Systems Manager (SSM) or equivalent tooling.
- Power Exchange: Connector setup and troubleshooting for on-premises data sources.
- Troubleshooting: Log analysis,



root cause analysis, and incident management.
- Collaboration: Working with DBA, application, and architecture teams on complex issues.
- Documentation: Writing SOPs, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.

Preferred Qualifications/Certifications

- Informatica certifications (IDMC or domain-specific).
- Experience with PowerCenter-to-IDMC migration.
- Real-time and event-driven integration patterns (CAI).
- Data quality rule design and monitoring (CDQ), and master data survivorship rules (MDM).
- AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
