Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to design, build, and scale cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, AWS technologies, and modern software engineering practices. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded full-stack engineer who works independently across backend services, modern web application development, and cloud-native architectures, applying sound engineering judgment across a range of situations with only occasional guidance. The role requires familiarity with AI-assisted development practices and the ability to incorporate AI-powered capabilities into business solutions where they add measurable value.

This individual demonstrates strong ownership, delivers quality outcomes with minimal oversight, contributes to design and architecture based on approved patterns, and supports and mentors less-experienced engineers while contributing hands-on to the design, development, and delivery of business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications using AWS services and modern engineering practices.
- Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and contemporary frontend development practices.
- Build responsive, performant, and user-friendly experiences in partnership with product owners and business stakeholders.
- Develop scalable backend services using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices-based architectures, ensuring optimal use of frameworks for efficient, maintainable code.
- Contribute across the full technology stack, from user interfaces through APIs, business services, cloud infrastructure, and production support.
- Draft designs and architecture based on approved patterns, and apply best practices for cloud architecture, security, observability, performance, and resiliency.
- Design AWS serverless components (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge) and containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes), and proactively identify cost-optimization opportunities.
- Optimize database design and queries across relational (Postgres, Aurora, MySQL, Oracle) and non-relational (DynamoDB, MongoDB, Redis) stores, and contribute to data modeling activities.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud applications, and create and maintain operational dashboards in CloudWatch, Sumo Logic, and Dynatracz.
- Lead RFCs and support deployments; create effective root-cause analyses for incidents to prevent recurrence.
- Resolve security defects raised by AMU, Veracode, SCA, and Wiz scans independently, embracing a security-first mindset.
- Utilize Delta-approved AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Kiro) to improve engineering productivity, code quality, testing, documentation, and troubleshooting, while critically validating AI-generated output.
- Evaluate and incorporate AI-powered capabilities into applications when they provide measurable business value.
- Demonstrate end-to-end ownership of technical solutions from design through production support, delivering with minimal supervision.




- Proactively identify risks and dependencies, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and mentor developers through code reviews and pair programming.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 4+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and microservices.
- Strong hands-on experience developing enterprise web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and modern frontend development patterns.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and building distributed systems, including the ability to draft architecture based on approved patterns.
- Experience deploying and managing applications using ROSA, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Solid working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g., GitLab CI, ROSA pipelines, AWS CodePipeline, Nexus, SonarQube, Veracode).
- Strong programming skills in Java; working knowledge of Python is a plus.
- Experience optimizing SQL/NoSQL databases, writing efficient queries, and contributing to data modeling.
- Demonstrated experience using Delta-approved AI-assisted development tools to support coding, testing, documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting, with the judgment to validate and own AI-generated outputs.
- Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt design, and common AI-assisted development practices.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver complex technical solutions independently with occasional guidance.
- Experience mentoring or guiding junior developers and reviewing peers' pull requests.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- AWS Certified Developer or Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience with microservices architecture and serverless computing.
- Understanding of networking and security principles in cloud environments.
- Exposure to modern AI technologies and frameworks, including Amazon Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, agentic workflows, RAG, and MCP, is a plus.
