Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior ServiceNow Engineer with proven expertise in hands-on development, scripting, integrations, and quality engineering. The role involves building and customizing solutions, developing workflows and integrations, and creating and maintaining automated test frameworks using the ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF).

The ideal candidate will have strong ServiceNow development and scripting skills, experience in ATF and other automation/API testing tools, and the ability to bridge quality assurance and engineering delivery to ensure high-performing, scalable ServiceNow solutions.

Key Responsibilities 1. Hands-on ServiceNow Development

- Configure and customize ServiceNow applications, workflows, and integrations using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and UI Policies.
- Develop and maintain Catalog Scripts, custom applications, and platform automation.
- Manage update sets, migrations, and ServiceNow development lifecycle activities.
- Develop and support integrations using REST, SOAP, and IntegrationHub.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation to enable faster and more reliable deployments.
- Collaborate with architects and developers to ensure solutions are designed for testability and maintainability.

Quality

Engineering and Test Automation

- Analyze requirements and ServiceNow specifications to design scalable test cases, test data, and testing scenarios.
- Plan, execute, and document manual and automated testing across ServiceNow modules, workflows, and integrations.
- Build,



maintain, and enhance automated test frameworks using ServiceNow ATF.
- Perform API testing for ServiceNow integrations.
- Define and execute regression, upgrade, and patch-testing strategies to ensure high test coverage and minimize disruption.
- Identify, document, track, and resolve defects while maintaining quality standards.

3. Collaboration and Delivery
- Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, developers, and other stakeholders to align on requirements and deliverables.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Work effectively with global teams across multiple time zones in offshore onshore delivery models.
- Promote a quality-first engineering culture and proactively recommend improvements to development and testing processes.

Required Qualifications And Skills

- 8+ years of experience in software development and quality assurance, including 8+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in ServiceNow development and scripting, including JavaScript, Glide APIs, Flow Designer, Catalog Scripts, Client Scripts, Business Rules, and UI Policies.
- Experience with ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) and/or automation and testing tools such as Selenium, Postman, REST Assured, and SOAP UI.




- Hands-on experience in API testing and ServiceNow integrations.
- Experience across ServiceNow modules, including ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Service Catalog, CSDM, Discovery, and Event Management.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow upgrade lifecycle, patch testing, regression testing, and defect management.
- Experience with update set migration, development lifecycle, and deployment processes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with test management and defect-tracking tools such as JIRA and HP ALM.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of deliverables, and collaborate effectively in a quick-paced engineering environment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

Preferred Certifications

- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS), particularly in ITSM, Discovery, or Event Management
- ITIL v3/v4 certification
