Job Overview

We are looking for a agile and passionate Senior PR Executive – Sports to join our Mumbai team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the sports ecosystem, excellent media relations skills, and hands-on experience in public relations, preferably within sports, entertainment, or lifestyle communications.

The candidate will be responsible for executing strategic PR campaigns, building strong media relationships, generating impactful coverage, and managing communications for sports brands, athletes, leagues, tournaments, and other stakeholders within the sports industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute PR campaigns for sports brands, athletes, sporting events, leagues, tournaments, and other sports-related clients.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with sports journalists, editors, broadcasters, digital publications, and key media professionals.
- Draft compelling press releases, media pitches, press notes, media advisories, and other communication materials.
- Identify relevant media opportunities and generate impactful coverage across print, electronic, digital, and online sports platforms.
- Coordinate media interactions, press conferences, interviews, launch events, and other sports-related PR activities.




- Monitor sports news, industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to develop proactive PR initiatives.
- Manage client communication, media follow-ups, coverage reports, and campaign documentation.
- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, athletes, sports associations, event organisers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless campaign execution.
- Track media coverage and prepare regular reports highlighting campaign performance and key outcomes.
- Support PR activities during live sporting events, tournaments, launches, and time-sensitive announcements.

Desired Candidate Profile

- 2–3 years of relevant experience in public relations, preferably with a sports PR or communications agency.
- Strong understanding of the Indian sports ecosystem, athletes, leagues, sporting events, and the sports media landscape.
- Established media networking skills, particularly with sports journalists and relevant publications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Hands-on experience in media pitching, press release drafting, campaign execution, and client servicing.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, meet tight deadlines, and work in a fast-paced agency environment.
- Proactive, organised, detail-oriented, and passionate about sports and communications.
