Senior Jira Align Administrator, Enterprise Insights &

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Jira Align Administrator to lead Jira Align platform strategy, governance, enterprise integrations, reporting enablement, automation initiatives, and Center of Excellence (CoE) development. This role will serve as the subject matter expert for Jira Align architecture, enterprise-scale Agile portfolio management, Enterprise Insights reporting, Power Platform automation, and Jira-Jira Align ecosystem governance.

The Senior Administrator will provide strategic guidance to business and technology stakeholders, define platform standards, oversee complex implementations, mentor junior administrators, and drive continuous platform optimization across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Jira Align Strategic Administration &

- Governance

- Define and enforce Jira Align governance standards, operating models, and configuration best practices.
- Design and oversee Jira-to-Jira Align integration strategies across enterprise portfolios.
- Lead onboarding of large-scale portfolios, programs, value streams, and teams into Jira Align.
- Architect and maintain Jira Align hierarchy structures, portfolios, programs, teams, roles, permissions,



and access models.
- Lead implementation of advanced Jira Align capabilities including:
- Solution Layers
- Capability Layers
- Custom Rooms
- Strategic Portfolio Management features

- Perform impact assessments for configuration changes and major platform enhancements.
- Govern release management, change control, and platform roadmap planning.

Enterprise Platform &

- Automation Leadership

- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise automation solutions using Power Automate.
- Establish automation governance, reusable templates, monitoring standards, and support processes.
- Design integrations between Jira Align, Jira, Microsoft 365, Power Platform, and enterprise systems.
- Evaluate new automation opportunities and drive platform modernization initiatives.

Enterprise Insights &

- Analytics Leadership

- Define enterprise reporting strategy for Jira Align.
- Establish Enterprise Insights reporting standards and SQL query governance.
- Design reusable Enterprise Insights reporting frameworks.
- Lead development and review of Power BI dashboards.
- Guide business stakeholders on reporting architecture, data interpretation, and analytics best practices.
- Optimize Enterprise Insights SQL performance and reporting reliability.

Production Support &

- Platform Optimization

- Serve as the highest escalation point for platform and synchronization issues.
- Lead root cause analysis for critical incidents and recurring platform issues.
- Drive data quality improvement initiatives and governance controls.
- Assess license utilization, adoption trends, and platform maturity.
- Recommend optimization and cost-control opportunities.

Leadership &

- Enablement

- Mentor Jira Align Administrators and junior platform resources.
- Lead administrator enablement programs and CoE development initiatives.
- Conduct architecture reviews and governance forums.
- Establish operational documentation standards and knowledge repositories.
- Coordinate with Atlassian Support and external vendors for complex issues.

Required Qualifications

- 10+ years of overall IT experience.
- 5+ years administering Jira Align in enterprise environments.
- Deep expertise in:
- Jira Align configuration and administration
- Enterprise Agile planning frameworks
- Jira administration
- Jira-Jira Align connectors
- Portfolio and Program management structures

- Strong expertise in Enterprise Insights architecture and SQL-based reporting.
- Extensive experience with Power BI and executive reporting solutions.




- Advanced experience with Microsoft Power Automate and enterprise workflow automation.
- Solid understanding of APIs, integrations, authentication, and security models.
- Experience leading governance initiatives, CoEs, and platform transformation programs.
- Excellent stakeholder management and consulting skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Atlassian Certified Jira Align Administrator.
- Atlassian Certified Jira Administrator.
- Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
- Microsoft Power BI certifications.
- Experience in regulated enterprise environments.
- Experience leading large-scale Jira Align implementations and migrations.

Compensation

Estimated Pay Range Exact compensation and offers of employment are dependent on circumstances of each case and will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, licenses or certifications, and location.
