Job Summary

Shriram General Insurance is seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Senior Data Analyst to analyze complex datasets, generate actionable business insights, and support strategic decision-making. The role involves developing dashboards, identifying business trends, optimizing reporting processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Collect, clean, validate, and analyze large datasets from multiple business sources.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and performance metrics.
- Use SQL and analytical tools to extract meaningful insights from business data.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with business, finance, sales, marketing, and technology teams to understand analytical requirements.
- Perform advanced data analysis and statistical assessments to support business planning and decision-making.
- Automate recurring reports and improve data processing and reporting workflows.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Present analytical findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear reports and presentations.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, customer retention, and business performance.
- Support data governance,



reporting standards, and compliance requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and database querying.
- Hands-on knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functions.
- Knowledge of Python or R for data analysis and automation.
- Strong understanding of statistical analysis, data modeling, and data interpretation.
- Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful business insights.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Robust communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple analytical projects and meet deadlines.

Preferred Skills
- Experience in the insurance, BFSI, or financial services industry.
- Familiarity with insurance business metrics, claims analysis, policy performance, and customer analytics.
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and business intelligence systems.
- Experience with dashboard automation and reporting optimization.
- Familiarity with predictive analytics and forecasting techniques.
- Understanding of data privacy, governance, and regulatory compliance requirements.
