JD for SDET- Test Automation

Position Summary The EDW Quality Engineer ensures the accuracy, integrity, and quality of data within enterprise data warehouse environments. Key focus areas include validating ETL/ELT pipelines, verifying source-to-target mappings, testing complex transformations, and leveraging Python and AI tools (Copilot, Snowflake AI Cortex) The role involves direct collaboration with data engineers business analysts and developers across Agile/Scrum sprint cycles

Key Responsibilities

Requirement Analysis & Data Architecture: Validate requirements alignment with business needs using Medallion Architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold) in up-to-date platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, Azure)

Medicaid Data Validation: Perform backend testing comparing source systems to target Medicaid EDWs. Verify source-to-target mappings standardization rules and transformation logic

SQL & Data Auditing: Execute complex SQL queries (multi-table JOINs, aggregations)

to run row counts, null checks, duplicate checks, and referential integrity validations

Test Strategy & Execution Design test plans cases and scenarios Conduct manual and automated tests for full-load and incremental-load cycles. Lead rigorous review/approval cycles

Defect Management:



Identify log and track bugs using JIRA HP ALM or Azure DevOps. Perform Smoke, System Integration (SIT) and Regression testing

AI-Driven Automation: Build automated data validation scripts using Python (Pandas, SQLAlchemy) and Snowflake AI Cortex. Integrate tests into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

Required Qualifications Amp Skills

SQL & ETL Expertise: Deep proficiency in SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL)

Star/Snowflake schemas, SCD Type 1/2, STMs, and data pipeline transformations

Healthcare Domain: Experience with Medicaid, HIPAA, claims (837/835), eligibility, provider data, or clinical standards (ICD-9/10, CPT, HL7)

Tools & Platforms: ETL (Informatica, Talend, SSIS, ADF), Test Management (Azure DevOps, JIRA, HP ALM), Data Viz (Power BI, Tableau) Cloud (Snowflake, Azure)

AI Proficiency: 90%+ weekly active usage of GitHub Copilot M365 Copilot and Snowflake AI Cortex to accelerate automation and testing workflows

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with MMIS data warehouse migration data mart validation and state Medicaid agencies.

Hands-on Python test automation with GitHub code management
